I just had some Wendy’s chili because that’s what I have in the frid ge, but I really want some Poke. Feeling kind of lazy, I bought the family-size tub of the stuff so I wouldn’t have to cook for a few days. I can’t stand or walk very much at the moment (chemo side effects), so minimal shopping and cooking times are important. I guess I need to put a chair in the kitchen...

Thanks for your concern. I’m a  bit nauseated, which is my new normal, and experiencing what they call ‘Hand-Foot Syndrome’, where my palms and soles are raw and tender. Yesterday I couldn’t walk because of the pain but today is a bit better. I called off yesterday but have to head into the office tonight for the 1800/0300 shift. At least it’s a desk job, sitting in front of the computer and radios, so I should be OK.

Just another new challenge to beat, and I will. I don’t really want to go to work, but I’m out of paid time off, broke,  and we’re quite short-handed at the moment; a few other dispatchers have been promoted, and another one, a friend of mine, is back in the hospital with what is probably terminal uterine cancer. Considering what others are going th rough I’m not in bad shape, relatively speaking...
